IPTV on Spark receivers: WebTV plugin

Works on GI receivers and other boxes with Spark firmware and the built-in WebTV plugin. The channel list is prepared in your account in the required format.

What you need

  • A Utgard TV account with an active package or the 24-hour trial.
  • The webtv_usr.xml file from the “Playlist” section of your account.
  • FTP access to the receiver or a USB stick.

Step 1. Download the file

In your account open “Playlist”, find the “Spark receivers” block and press “Download file”. The file is called webtv_usr.xml; do not rename it.

Step 2. Put the file on the receiver

  1. Connect to the receiver over FTP and copy the file into /root/plugin/webtv/, replacing the existing one.
  2. Or write the file to a USB stick, plug it into the receiver and copy the file into the same folder with the built-in file manager.

Step 3. Open the WebTV plugin

Launch WebTV from the receiver menu: the Utgard channels appear as a list. After changing packages, download the file again and repeat the copy.

Troubleshooting

  • The list is empty or has one channel, “Subscription not active”. The package is not active. Pay or start the trial and download the file again.
  • The plugin does not see the file. Check the path /root/plugin/webtv/ and the file name webtv_usr.xml.
  • Channels open but stutter. Connect the receiver by cable and check the speed: HD needs 5 Mbps.
