IPTV on Enigma2 receivers and MAG boxes

For satellite receivers running Enigma2 (Dreambox, Vu+, Zgemma, GigaBlue, Octagon, AX) your account provides a ready channel bouquet. MAG boxes use the same M3U playlist as the apps.

What you need

  • A Utgard TV account with an active package or the 24-hour trial.
  • The “Playlist” section of your account: bouquet files for Enigma2 and the M3U link for MAG.
  • For Enigma2, FTP access to the receiver or an installed bouquet plugin.

Enigma2: channel bouquet

  1. In your account, under “Playlist”, find the “Enigma2 satellite receivers” block. There are two files: “with GStreamer” (service type 4097) for most modern images and “without GStreamer” (type 5002, exteplayer3) for the rest. Start with the first.
  2. Download the bouquet file and upload it to the receiver over FTP into /etc/enigma2/ (for example with FileZilla, login root). Alternatively use a plugin such as IPTV Bouquet Maker or Bouquet Editor that accepts a file link.
  3. Reload the channel list in the receiver menu (on most images that is a channel list reload or a GUI restart). The Utgard bouquet appears among your bouquets.
  4. If channels do not play, load the second file and delete the first: images ship different players.

The bouquet is built from the same channels as the M3U playlist, so the receiver and the phone app always have the same channel set. After changing packages, download the file again.

MAG: playlist in the inner portal

  1. In your account copy the universal M3U link or download the .m3u file to a USB stick.
  2. On the box open “Settings”, then “Inner portal” and the IPTV channels section.
  3. Choose playlist loading and provide the link or the file from the USB stick. Channels appear in the list.

Menu names depend on the MAG firmware. If the box runs a third-party firmware with apps, OTT Navigator or TiviMate are easier.

Troubleshooting

  • One channel, “Subscription not active”. The package is not active. Pay or start the trial and download the file again.
  • Enigma2: the channel is listed but the screen is black. Switch the file version (with GStreamer to without, or back).
  • MAG: the playlist does not load by link. Download the .m3u file and load it from a USB stick.
  • The receiver does not see the bouquet. Check that the file is in /etc/enigma2/ and restart the GUI.
