IPTV on Hisense TVs (VIDAA): SS IPTV and Smart IPTV
Suitable for Hisense and Toshiba TVs running on the VIDAA system — they have their own app store, and no set-top box is needed. The player is installed from the VIDAA App Store, and the playlist is taken from the Utgard TV cabinet. If your Hisense runs on Android TV or Google TV, see the Android TV setup guide.
What You Will Need
- An Utgard TV account with an active package or a trial for 2 hours.
- A link to the playlist from the “Playlist” section in the cabinet; for SmartOne, “Xtream Codes” data will also work.
- A TV with internet access, preferably via cable.
Don’t have an account yet? Create an account and activate the trial: only an email is needed, no card required.
Step 1. Copy the Playlist Link
In the cabinet, open “Playlist” and click “Copy” next to the universal M3U8 link. The link is personal — it contains your username and access code. You don’t need to enter it using the remote: all the apps below support loading from a phone or computer.
Step 2. Install the App and Add the Playlist
SS IPTV (free)
- Open the VIDAA App Store, find SS IPTV, and install it.
- In the app, go to “Settings” → “Content” → “External Playlists”, click “Add”, enter a name and the link from the cabinet, and save.
- If entering the link with the remote is inconvenient: in “Settings”, click “Get Code”, then on the ss-iptv.com website in the playlist loading section, enter this code and the link — the playlist will appear on the TV.
Smart IPTV (one-time activation)
- Install Smart IPTV from the VIDAA App Store and launch it: the MAC address of the app will appear on the screen.
- On the app’s website, enter this MAC and the playlist link in the URL field, and submit.
- Restart the app — the channels will load automatically.
The app is free for the first few days, then it requires a one-time activation based on the MAC address. This fee goes to the app developer and is not related to the Utgard TV subscription.
SmartOne and Set IPTV
Both are available in the VIDAA App Store and accept both M3U links and login with username and code (Xtream Codes) — the server, username, and password are taken from the “Xtream Codes” block in the cabinet. The playlist is loaded through the app’s website using the code displayed on the TV screen.
Step 3. TV Guide, Archive, and Quality
The TV guide is already built into the playlist. If the app asks for the EPG address separately, specify https://tv.utgard.tv/epg/epg.xml.gz. The archive works on channels with recording where the app shows the archive icon. For HD, 5 Mbps is sufficient; for 4K, about 25 Mbps; in the evening, a cable connection is more reliable than Wi-Fi.
If Something Isn’t Working
- One channel says “Subscription not active”. The package is unpaid or the trial is not activated. Activate the package and refresh the playlist in the app.
- The app does not accept the link. Copy it in full, including the part after the question mark, or load it through the app’s website using the code.
- Black screen on some channels. Try another app from the list — they have different built-in players.
- Channels did not update after changing the package. Refresh the playlist: in SS IPTV — with the refresh button, in Smart IPTV — by restarting the app.
Still not working? Contact support, providing the TV model and the app.
